Having an i.u.i. tomorrow and need some advice on what to expect please x?

we have been trying to concieve for over 2 years and are having our very first i.u.i. tomorrow and dont really know what to expect during the actual procedure. is it uncomfortable in anyway? they tried to do a hycosy on me a few months ago (putting dye in a catheter to check tubes arent blocked) but had to abandon it as they could get the catgheter through my cervix and it was really uncomfortable! will i.u.i. be similar? also how long after the procedure will we find out if it was sucsessful? how do they confirm the pregnancy etc? i will obviously ask questions tomorrow but would like personal experiences please x
