TPN & Chemotherapy???????????????

They can be done through the same line. They can't be run at the same time, but people do get chemo during the day and then have TPN run at night through that same line, for example, or stop the TPN, flush the line, hook up the chemo. I work in pediatric oncology and our patients never get an extra line for TPN. They do a lot of overnight feeds with TPN, unless there is 24-hour chemo running.
