Will a morgan x be a good horse?

i have seen this Morgan X for sale it looks very cobby and has a hogged mane. will this type of horse be a good doer. i would like to pay for most of a horse myself if i get one, so i want a good cheapish one(well for a horse anyway lol) will this be better than a cob or will a cob be better. ohh and another question what is a cob i know its a stocky type that can carry weight and that but i want to know if they are a cross breed or summit? thanksXD
